The inspiration for Love Kisses from Heaven came from my husband, Chris, and stepson, Aidan. These two always greet each other with the words “love kisses” and have fun turning this phrase into a game of Marco Polo where one calls out “love” and the other responds “kisses.”
Chris and Aidan enjoy creating funny expressions by putting the word “love” in front of other words. For example, pasta is described as “love pasta” or going for a drive is described as a “love drive.” These two “love boys” (as they like to call each other) are fond of going for long, scenic drives through the Santa Monica Mountains near where we live.
I periodically join the two on their father-son road trips, and it was during one of these “love drives” that I felt inspired to build a website about Our Heavenly Father’s unconditional love for each one of us. Knowing how much Chris loves both of his sons (Kevin & Aidan) and wants only the best for them made me think of how much God, Our Father, wants the same for us in an infinitely more perfect way.
Over the years, I have learned that life is about building healthy, loving relationships with God and one another. Though we may walk different paths, we are not alone in our journey through life. Every day God sends us love kisses to encourage, enlighten and guide us to our ultimate destination: Heaven.
